MYTH #1: Gradually reducing your caloric intake over time is the best way to ensure steady fat loss.

FACT: Consistently reducing your caloric intake is a great way to lose muscle mass. However, precise manipulation of the nutrients in your diet (protein, fat and carbs) can have extraordinary anabolic (muscle-building) and lipolytic (fat-burning) hormonal effects on your body. It’s all a matter of what you eat and when you eat it.

MYTH #2: When you come off a fat-loss diet, there will always be some rebound weight gain.

FACT: When the metabolism is properly stimulated and the right combination of nutrients is eaten, rebound weight gain can not only be eliminated, it can be reversed. With the proper training and nutrition plan, you can actually CONTINUE to lose fat even when you go back to normal training and eating.

Read (and win) the solution to these issues and learn about a rapid fat loss program

“I can’t lose weight because of my genetics”

What a bunch of crap. It’s when the genetics meet lifestyle and environment that the genes express themselves. If you have a family history of heart disease, is it smart to smoke, eat junk, be a stressed-out, type-A maniac and a couch potato? Well of course not, and it’s the same with obesity. If you have a tendency predisposing you towards obesity, you’d better be the person doing the MOST exercise, not the least. You’d better be the person paying the MOST attention to your nutrition. You’d better be the person with the healthiest lifestyle. But unfortunately, it’s usually the opposite. Most people throw up their arms in frustration saying, “what’s the use, I was dealt a bad hand.” Sorry. That won’t fly in 2009.

Read more exercises excuses that just wont fly for 2009

A few years back, my wife and I thought it would be great to cruise on up through the Smokey Mountains with the kids. I had found out that one could rent cabins and enjoy a rustic visit. We ended up staying in this perfect outdoor lodging for two whole weeks. Those peaceful mountains can grow on you if you’re not careful. I personally thought the cabin was like a home away from home. It was a comfortable and sufficient lodging with all the right amenities. My youngest daughter especially enjoyed this getaway. She simply loves the woods, and the outdoors.

If you suspect your acne is caused by a food allergy, begin by increasing your daily amount of water consumption. Then try to rule out the root cause of your potential acne. Common causes of food allergies include dairy products, excess sugar, and certain refined flours and grains. Also, avoid foods rich in iodine, which have been linked to acne. Iodine-rich foods may include salt, liver, cheese, crabs, shellfish, clams, and kelp products. If you consume iodized salt, make the switch to sea salt. If you find dairy products worsening your acne, consider switching to soy or rice milk and cheese products.

Yard sales are less risky than hubby’s tackle box too. Keep an eye out for used fishing nets, poles, lures, bobbers, metal stringers and other gear. The last thing you want is your fishing decor to smell fishy. Be sure to clean everything very carefully and thoroughly. I use alcohol for lures, bobbers and such. Good detergent and bleach for nets. Vinegar and lemon juice work well too.

With a multitude of bills piling up, debt consolidation can appear to be an easy way out. Claims of reduced rates and one payment convenience can seduce just about anyone. But before you commit to such a plan, make sure that you have weighed the pros and cons to make certain that you will actually save money in the end.

Debt consolidation combines all your short term debt, such as credit cards accounts or bills, into one loan. The idea is to reduce your interest payments, helping your monthly payments go farther and eliminate your debt faster. But you have to be careful, because a lower monthly payment or interest rate doesn’t always mean you are saving money.

You may know that you have bad credit, but you may not know exactly what information is on your credit report. While there are mortgages for people with bad credit, they have higher interest rates. Experts recommend that before you consider buying a house with bad credit, you review the information on your credit reports.

In response to a recently enacted law, the three major credit bureaus created a website (www.annualcreditreport.com) to provide consumers with easier access to the information stored on their credit reports. Before you consider buying a house with bad credit or any other major purchase, visit this website. You are entitled to one free copy in a twelve month period. You are also entitled to a free copy if you have recently been denied credit. Before you look for mortgages for people with bad credit, it is advisable to make every effort to improve your credit score.

In fact, most of these people thrive on the phenomenon of bad credit. Without bad credit, they could be packing their bags and looking for more lucrative ways to make money.

You see, you may not be aware of this but a bad credit personal credit can still generate substantial revenues for the lender. Don’t ever doubt this – or else why do they stay in business? What these lenders like to see on their desks is a higher number of personal loan applications from people with bad credit.

One way to manage the problem of bad credit and not owning a credit card is to take out what is known as a secured credit card. A secured credit card is backed by a deposit you make to cover the costs you charge on the card. At first this may not sound like much of an advantage, especially if you are strapped for cash. In reality; however, this type of arrangement can help you to build your credit back up to a reasonable number while also providing you with the convenience of possessing a credit card for renting cars, reserving hotel rooms, etc. Depending on the company you select,it may be possible to obtain a secured credit card with a credit limit as high as the deposit you can afford to make.

Nearly 85% of UTIs are caused by the bacteria Escherichia coli, or E. coli — for short. When the bacteria pass through the urethra (the narrow urine canal that connects the bladder to the outside), they can get inside the bladder and cause an infection. Some females get urinary tract infections more frequently, this may be because of the differences in the shape and length of the urethra in different people. A female with a shorter urethra may get more UTIs. Most women’s urethras are only about 40mm long. That’s about 1 and ½ inches. Males generally get fewer UTIs than females because they have longer urethras.

While it may take time to earn the respect of stepchildren, you nevertheless need the complete support of the biological parent.

Have a pesky curve and put a stop to your slice? Want to shave the excess strokes? How does one develop the proper golf swing? It seems that there is no one ultimate proper golf swing. Just like a good pair of jeans, they have to be molded to your personal shape, as does a proper swing. The rules and regulations to the swing however seem rudimentary and from there you take the form and shape that suits your height and stance the best. There are three primary basics that create a proper swing. They are: downswing, backswing, and follow-through and the actual impact you have on the ball.

While everyone is concerned with the rising gas prices at the pump, many individuals, in colder climates, are also experiencing a rapid increase in the cost of heating the home. A cold winter month, plus the increase in natural gas prices per thermal unit, and the family finances are totally out of control. Even turning down the thermostat and donning sweaters is not enough. The expense is still far above the previous totals. Thus, many people are falling into the trap of needing to repair bad credit.

Now, what about groceries and other household and personal contributions to financial woes? Two major issues are related to the rising cost in food and supplies. First, the weather has much to do with the rapid increase in food and fresh produce.

For example, oranges took a big hit, when snow and frost hit traditionally warmer climates. As an expected result, the law of supply and demand is enforced. Farmers need the income to feed their families; consumers still want fresh produce, yet only a limited supply is available. So, the price goes up, farmers recoup a small portion of their financial loses, and shoppers, who can afford the cost, can still purchase fresh produce.

Bad credit is much like dominoes. Consider the contests to see who can build the most intricate maze or picture, using upright dominos. After hours of intense concentration and hard work, the lead domino is tapped to fall into the adjacent game piece. If the individual displayed the creation correctly, the dominos should fall in one continuous string, until all the little blocks are flattened and the basic design can still be detected.

So, how are the two similar? The first domino is like the first incident of bad credit. Unless an individual can keep the troubling economic situation from getting worse, one problem will lead to another, then another, and before one really knows what is happening, loans are impossible to obtain, forget buying on credit, writing checks may even be taboo for many purchases, lenders are threatening to foreclose, and the car is liable to be towed out of the driveway. Ouch!
