Many resorts remain open year round, so you should be able to find exactly what you are looking for. A few years back, my wife and I thought it would be great to cruise on up through the Smokey Mountains with the kids. I had found out that one could rent cabins and enjoy a rustic visit. We ended up staying in this perfect outdoor lodging for two whole weeks. Those peaceful mountains can grow on you if you’re not careful. I personally thought the cabin was like a home away from home. It was a comfortable and sufficient lodging with all the right amenities. My youngest daughter especially enjoyed this getaway. She simply loves the woods, and the outdoors.

First, if you are taking your little one trick or treating this halloween make it your cardio workout. And by that, I do not mean drag the child running through the street! I mean as you walk, concentrate on keeping your abs in, butt firm, back straight and shoulders back. Take the time to breathe in the Fall air. (for those in you in New England anyways) There really is nothing like Autumn in New England. Feel the crackle of the leaves beneath your feet, and breathe in the distant wood stove filling the air with the scent of Fall. Evenings like this don’t last forever. Make this one worthwhile. Don’t rush, or worry about things, or be distracted. Concentrate only on the time you have and the moment you are in…..
