Safety for Children on the Internet

Who do the parents listen to about the Internet?  There is a lot of opinions from the television and in the print media lately about the dangers of the Internet to children and young teens. From sexual predators to websites advocating anorexia to readily available bomb-making instructions, the Internet seems to be this big scary monster ready to gobble up our young.  Where it always begins is at home and the relationship you have with your children, talking about such topics and making your children aware of the choices they have.  The Internet and your Children can be a positive relationship!

Parenting Kids on MySpace.

So, you have a responsible teen and you/they would like for them to be able to keep their MySpace account. Alright, we have put together a guide on how to let your kids enjoy MySpace safely and responsibly. Step Parenting: A Job for Two

Step parenting takes both, you and the biological parent. This relationship has to be solid unit. While it may take time to earn the respect of stepchildren, you nevertheless need the complete support of the biological parent. Your relationship will be on the display table and stepchildren take their cues from the strength of this relationship. If this relationship is weak and characterized by arguments, you the stepparent will be viewed as the weak link in this household.
