MYTH #1: Gradually reducing your caloric intake over time is the best way to ensure steady fat loss.

FACT: Consistently reducing your caloric intake is a great way to lose muscle mass. However, precise manipulation of the nutrients in your diet (protein, fat and carbs) can have extraordinary anabolic (muscle-building) and lipolytic (fat-burning) hormonal effects on your body. It’s all a matter of what you eat and when you eat it.

MYTH #2: When you come off a fat-loss diet, there will always be some rebound weight gain.

FACT: When the metabolism is properly stimulated and the right combination of nutrients is eaten, rebound weight gain can not only be eliminated, it can be reversed. With the proper training and nutrition plan, you can actually CONTINUE to lose fat even when you go back to normal training and eating.

Read (and win) the solution to these issues and learn about a rapid fat loss program

“I can’t lose weight because of my genetics”

What a bunch of crap. It’s when the genetics meet lifestyle and environment that the genes express themselves. If you have a family history of heart disease, is it smart to smoke, eat junk, be a stressed-out, type-A maniac and a couch potato? Well of course not, and it’s the same with obesity. If you have a tendency predisposing you towards obesity, you’d better be the person doing the MOST exercise, not the least. You’d better be the person paying the MOST attention to your nutrition. You’d better be the person with the healthiest lifestyle. But unfortunately, it’s usually the opposite. Most people throw up their arms in frustration saying, “what’s the use, I was dealt a bad hand.” Sorry. That won’t fly in 2009.

In 1990, I tipped the scales at 475 pounds and my waist was 55 inches (at least). Over the next two and a half years, I lost 288 pounds, dropping to a low of 187 pounds, and I fit into a size 38 pair of jeans. But I wasn’t finished yet. In the years that followed, I took up the bodybuilding lifestyle and slowly but surely added over 50 pounds of lean muscle while dropping even more body fat. That brought my total weight loss to over 300 pounds. Today, I weigh 240 pounds of lean muscle and I’m in the best shape of my life.

Based upon CBS reports, Hoodia is definitely a promising appetite suppressant for many people attempting to maintain a weight loss program. However, consumers are obligated to do a little research before purchasing Hoodia at the local health food store or the Internet marketplace. As with any health plan, consulting a family doctor is extremely important. He/she can determine whether additional health concerns will preclude exercise and dietary changes, including supplements like Hoodia. The body still needs the proper nutrition and adequate hydration. Since Hoodia suppresses both hunger and thirst, making sure to follow a healthy diet is extremely important. Also, verify the quality of Hoodia being purchased. Read the facts and find out if you are buying authentic Hoodia.

The truth is that even if you’re committed to a healthy lifestyle (you know, you eat well, exercise regularly, rarely overindulge), temptation is still everywhere. If you’re not careful, one loving look from a juicy burger across the room could be the end of you. An innocent night out for hot wings and beer may result in your being a “bad boy”.

Before launching into the list, let’s point out the obvious; some foods are better than others. Nutrient dense foods should comprise a majority of your diet. But I’m not saying you should live a life of deprivation either. Sometimes splurging on something “bad” is good. After you indulge, however, hop right back on the bandwagon. Read the Top Foods To Cheat With or other Health Articles.

In particular, many people are concerned that vegans may not get enough protein, calcium and iron from plant-based foods. This is because most people think of eating dairy products for calcium and meats for iron and protein. But it is possible to consume adequate amounts of these nutrients on vegetarian diet. It just takes bit of effort and knowledge about plant-based sources the nutrients.
